Anger
Conflict
The effects of anger feelings on our body are significant. But feeling angry is not the sum of the effects. Family, friends, associates, and others observing angry behaviours usually respond negatively to those behaviours. This can result in conflict, shame, social isolation, destructive relationships and even involvement with representatives of the law.
Conflict Resolution
One of the most important paths to resolving the internal and external conflicts that spring from anger is to seek the assistance of skilled and caring people. The skills and experiences people have had are what led them to where they are. If that is a place where they experience anger regularly, then it is unlikely that their existing skills will solve the problems they encounter. Put simply - we don’t know what we don’t know. With the assistance of experienced professionals we can gain those skills and resolve the original issues.
Understanding Your Anger
Beenleigh Counselling & Psychology provide individual processes for people with anger issues. Our supportive and non-judgemental style allows for each person to understand the path they travelled to their current relationship with their anger. Our style also allows resolution of those issues underlying the emotion. Sometimes there will need to be further therapy to help overcome lifetime behaviours and responses.
Courses
Beenleigh Counselling & Psychology also regularly provide men’s and women’s ‘Understanding Your Anger’ group work courses to explore the underlying issues of anger and how they affect us. This can be a challenging process and commitment is given by the course facilitators to provide a respectful and supportive space for all people involved. Contact our reception for details of the next course.
